In shallow rain pool dozens of breeding Rough-skinned Newts, one male Northern Red-legged Frog, and over 5-dozen Northern Red-legged Frog egg clusters observed. Oddly, the clusters appeared to have been deposited in a pool that will dry in a couple months. The area was recently clear cut by a lumber company and only tree stumps and tree seedlings surrounded the area.
-
Discovered on road in stormy weather.
-
On 9 March 2002, some egg clusters had tiny, small hatchling tadpoles swiming about. However, most egg clusters remained with embryos and no hatchings swimming about. On this date, no adults were seen about ponds or on wet road.
