El tucunaré azul (Cichla piquiti) es una especie de peces de la familia Cichlidae en el orden de los Perciformes.

Los machos pueden llegar alcanzar los 43 cm de longitud total.^[1]​

Distribución geográfica

Se encuentran en Sudamérica. Originalmente era endémico de Brasil, pero fue introducido en la cuenca del Plata, teniendo poblaciones en el embalse de la Represa de Itaipú, y de allí alcanzó aguas abajo del alto Paraná.

Cichla piquiti is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van de cichliden (Cichlidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 2006 door Kullander & Ferreira.

南美麗魚，為輻鰭魚綱鱸形目隆頭魚亞目慈鯛科的其中一種，分布於南美洲巴西及巴拉圭淡水流域，體長可達43公分，棲息在底中層水域，屬肉食性，生活習性不明。
