Coleophora crossophanes Meyrick 1917

Coleophora crossophanes is a moth of the family Coleophoridae. It is found in Maskeliya, Sri Lanka.

Taxonomy

Research has concluded that Coleophora crossophanes does not belong to the family Coleophoridae. It could belong to the family Momphidae.^[1]

Coleophora crossophanes is een vlinder uit de familie van de kokermotten (Coleophoridae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1917 door Meyrick. Volgens Baldizzone en Van der Wolf is dit echter geen kokermot maar hoort de soort thuis in de familie wilgenroosjesmotten (Momphidae).^[2]

Coleophora crossophanes é uma espécie de mariposa do gênero Coleophora pertencente à família Coleophoridae.^[1]
