Dicyrtomidae is a family of Collembola in the order Symphypleona, and it is the only family of the superfamily Dicyrtomoidea. It includes more than 200 species in eight genera.

Dicyrtomidae er en stor familie med seksbeinte leddyr som hører til ordenen spretthaler (Collembola).

Utseende

Spretthaler av kulespretthale-typen. Kroppen er nesten kulerund og ofte ganske fargerik, rosa er en vanlig farge. Hodet er stort, antennene fire-leddete, omtrent så lange som kroppen, det fjerde leddet er mye kortere enn det tredje. Fasettøynene er nokså store til spretthaler å være, mørke på farge. Bakkroppen har en del lange, lyse hår.
