Suffruticose liana; leaves membranaceous, ovate to ovate-oblong, 8-12 cm. long, 3-7 cm. broad, acuminate, broadly cordate at the base, minutely puberulent above when young, becoming sparsely hispidulous to glabrate, and glandular at the base of the midrib, densely puberulent to tomentulose beneath, especially along the veins, the petioles 10-15 mm. long; racemes alternate-axillary, simple, secund, conspicuously longer than the leaves, bearing 10-15 yellowish flowers of medium size; pedicels 8-12 mm. long; calyx-lobes ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, 2-3 mm. long, glabrous or very sparsely pilosulous, the squamellae numerous, indefinitely distributed; corolla infundibuliform, glabrous externally, the tube proper 3-4 mm. long, about 1.5 mm. in diameter at the base, the throat conic, 5-7 mm. long, about 5 mm. in diameter at the orifice, the lobes obliquely obovate, 5 mm. long, spreading; anthers 3-4 mm. long; nectaries 5, about as long as the ovary; follicles unknown.
