Uredinia hypophyUous, irregulariy gregarious on somewhat discolored spots, roundish, 0.1-0.5 mm. across, tardily naked, pulverulent, fuscous; urediniospores ellipsoid or obovoid, 18-23 by 24-29 fj.; wall pale-yellow or slightly fuscous, 1-1.5 /x thick, moderately echinulate, the pores obscure.

Telia h3T)ophyllous, few, scattered, punctate, small, early naked, pulvinate, surroimding tissues much browned, ruptured epidermis inconspicuous; teliospores ellipsoid, 13^ 16 by 26-31 fx, rounded or narrowed slightly above and below, moderately constricted at septum, germinating at maturity; wall colorless or very pale-yellow, 1-1.5 m thick, uniform, smooth; pedicel colorless, short.
