Pileus thin, tough, expanded, umbonate, gregarious, 13-19 mm. broad; surface glabrous, alutaceous, margin smooth or substriate, at first incurved: lamellae interveined, branched in front, reaching the stipe, subdistant, narrow, white: spores 7-8 X 3.5 ^u: stipe equal, solid, fulvous above, pallid below, velvety-tomentose, 2.5-4 cm. long, 1 mm. thick.
Type locality: North Elba, New York.
Habitat: Ground under conifers.
Distribution: Adirondack Mountains, New York.
