Eccilia tenuipes Murrill, sp. nov
Pileus convex-umbUicate, regular in shape, gregarious, 1.5 cm. broad; surface glabrous, tan-colored, pale-chestnut in dried specimens, margin concolorous, entire, deeply striate; lamellae rather broad, subcrowded, decurrent, pallid to salmon-colored, concolorous and entire on the edges; spores ellipsoid, angular, obliquely apiculate, rose-colored, 10-12.5 X 6-8 m; stipe long and slender, tubular, equal, smooth, glabrous, concolorous, 6 cm. long, 1 mm. thick.
lype collected on the ground in oak woods at Bound Brook, New Jersey, July 6, 1903, F. S. Earle 1466 (herb. N. Y. Bot. Gard.).
Distribution: Knowti only from the type locality.
