Bunchosia gracilis Niedzu. Gen. Bunch. 5. 1898 Leaf-blades elliptic, oblong, or oblanceolate, 6-15 cm. long, glabrous or sparingly pubescent when young, bright-green above, slightly paler beneath, decidedly acuminate and acute at the apex, acute at the base, rather short-petioled ; pedicels appressed-pubescent ; sepals oblong or ovate, 3-3.5 mm. long, the glands fully one half the length of the sepalbody ; larger petals 6-7 mm. long, with oblong or ovate, undulate-denticulate blades, the inner petal spatulate; ovary and style pubescent; drupes not seen.
Type locality : Mexico. Distribution : Mexico to Panama.
