Metarctia phaeoptera Hampson 1909

Metarctia phaeoptera is a moth of the subfamily Arctiinae. It was described by George Hampson in 1909. It is found in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.^[1]

Metarctia phaeoptera is een vlinder uit de familie spinneruilen (Erebidae), onderfamilie beervlinders (Arctiinae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1909 door Hampson.

Deze nachtvlinder komt voor in tropisch Afrika.
