Macropygia macassariensis Wallace 1865

The Flores Sea cuckoo-dove (Macropygia macassariensis) is a species of bird in the family Columbidae. It is found on Sulawesi, Tanakeke and Selayar Islands, and some of the eastern Lesser Sundas. It was previously lumped together with the Tanimbar cuckoo-dove and the Timor cuckoo-dove as the dusky or bar-necked cuckoo-dove. The Flores Sea cuckoo-dove has two subspecies:

• M. m. macassariensis Wallace, 1865 - southwest Sulawesi, Selayar and Tanakeke Islands.
• M. m. longa Meise, 1930 - Tanahjampea and Kalaotoa Is. (eastern Lesser Sundas)

La tórtola cuco de Flores (Macropygia macassariensis)^[1]​ es una especie de ave columbiforme de la familia Columbidae encontrada en las islas Célebes, Tanakeke, Selayar y en algunas de las islas menores de la Sonda. Anteriormente era tratada como subespecie de la tórtola cuco grande (Macropygia magna) pero en la actualidad es considerada una especie separada.^[2]​^[3]​

Subespecies

Se reconocen las siguientes subespecies:^[3]​

• M. m. macassariensis Wallace, 1865 – en el suroeste de las islas de Célebes, Selayar y Tana Keke;
• M. m. longa Meise, 1930 – en las islas Tanah Jampea y Kalaotoa en las islas menores de la Sonda.

De floreszeekoekoeksduif (Macropygia macassariensis) is een vogel uit de familie Columbidae (duiven). De soort wordt meestal nog beschouwd als een ondersoort van de grote of timorkoekoeksduif (M. magna).

Verspreiding en leefgebied

Deze duif komt voor op zuidwestelijk Celebes en de Kleine Soenda-eilanden.

• M. m. longa (de eilanden Djampea en Kalaotoa)

Selayargökduva^[1] (Macropygia macassariensis) är en fågel i familjen duvor inom ordningen duvfåglar.^[2]

Utbredning och systematik

Selayargökduva förekommer i östra Indonesien och delas in i två underarter med följande utbredning:^[2]

• Macropygia macassariensis macassariensis – sydvästra Sulawesi, Tanakeke och Salayar
• Macropygia macassariensis longa – östra Små Sundaöarna (Tanahjampea och Kalatoa)

Tidigare behandlades den som en del av större gökduva (M. magna).

Status

IUCN erkänner den ännu inte som art, varför den inte placeras i någon hotkategori.
