Mahmudbəyov çömçəxulu (lat. Bcnthophilus mahmudbejovi) — Çömçəxullar cinsinin bir nümayəndəsidir.
Xəzərin endemik növü olub əsasən onun Volqa deltası və onun qərb sahili boyunca, Pesçannıy burnundan, Çələkən yarımadası, Oğurca adası ətrafı bölgələrə kimi yayılmışdır[1]. Yetkinlərə ümumiyyətlə 11 m-dən daha 50 metrə qədər dərinmlikdə rastlanılır. Uzunluğu 6,6 sm olan fərdlərinə rast gəlinir. Azərbaycan ixtioloqu A. Mahmudbəyovun şərəfinə adlandırılmışdır[2].

Els mascles poden assolir els 6,6 cm de longitud total.[3][4]
Es troba al Mar d'Azov i a la Mar Càspia.[3]

This species can reach a length of 6.6 centimetres (2.6 in) TL.[3] The specific name honours the Azerbaijani ichthyologist A. A. Mahmudbekov, studied the fish of the Caspian Sea for much of his life.[4]

Benthophilus mahmudbejovi is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van grondels (Gobiidae).[2] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1976 door Ragimov.
De soort staat op de Rode Lijst van de IUCN als niet bedreigd, beoordelingsjaar 2008.[1]
