Die Drielint-lipvis (Stethojulis strigiventer) is 'n vis wat voorkom in die westelike Indiese-Pasifiese area en aan die ooskus van Afrika van Oman tot by Algoabaai. In Engels staan die vis bekend as die Three-ribbon wrasse.
Voorkoms
Die vis se lyf is lank en plat. Die kake is vol snytande en die sylyn buig afwaarts net waar die dorsale vin eindig. Die onvolwasse vissies is liggroen of bruin aan die bokant en daar is 'n patroon soos die van 'n doolhof op die kop. Die skubbe aan die rugkant het twee kolletjies op. Die onderste helfte van die lyf is wit met dowwe strepe op.
Die volwasse vis is groen aan die rugkant met 'n blou streep oor die basis van die dorsale vin. Daar is ook 'n blou streep van die kop, dit begin by die snoet, gaan deur die oog, bokant die pektorale vin verby tot by die stertvin. Daar is ook 'n pienk area vanaf die operkulum tot onder die pektorale vin. Daar is altyd 'n swart kolletjie op die stertvin se basis. Die vis word tot 15 cm groot.
Habitat
Die vis leef in koraal- en rots riwwe, seegrasbeddings en getypoele.

Stethojulis strigiventer, also known as the three-ribbon wrasse, silverstreak wrasse, silverbelly wrasse, lined rainbowfish or silver-streaked rainbowfish,[3] is a species of marine ray-finned fish, a wrasse from the family Labridae.[2] This species occurs in beds of seagrass and areas of inner reefs and shallow lagoons where there is a substrate consisting of mixed sand, rubble, and algae. It is found in small groups which swim over large areas down as deep as 20 metres (66 ft).[1] The range of this species extends from the Red Sea southwards along the eastern coast of Africa to Algoa Bay in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and eastwards to the Marshall and Tuamotu islands, it also extends north to Honshu and south to New South Wales.[2] This species was first formally described as Julis strigiventer in 1833 by the English zoologist Edward Turner Bennett (1797-1836) with the type locality given as Mauritius.[4] When Albert Günther created the genus Stethojulis he designated Julis strigiventer as the type species.[5]

Vissen Stethojulis strigiventer is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van lipvissen (Labridae).[2] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1833 door Bennett.

二名法 Stethojulis strigiventer(Bennett, 1832)[1] 腹纹紫胸鱼（学名：Stethojulis strigiventer），又名虹紋紫胸鱼，为隆头鱼科紫胸鱼属的鱼类。分布于印度洋非洲东岸至太平洋中部、北至日本琉球群岛、台湾岛以及南海诸岛、浙江沿海等。该物种的模式产地在斯里兰卡。[1]
分布
本魚广泛分布于印度-太平洋地区浅海。
特徵
本魚體側扁，幼魚體色灰白色，背部密布白點，腹部具網狀紋；雌魚體色青綠色，有時出現數塊白斑，腹部具白色縱紋；雄魚背部青綠色，具藍色細縱紋，胸鰭基部的黃橘斑並不顯眼，背鰭硬棘9枚；背鰭軟條11枚；臀鰭硬棘3枚；臀鰭軟條11枚，體長可達15公分。
生態
本魚棲息在珊瑚礁平台，幼魚常在潮池中發現，具性轉變，行一夫多妻制，活動力強，夜晚潛沙而眠，屬肉食性，以小型底棲動物為食。
經濟利用
可食用，但多做為觀賞魚。
