This species grows to a length of 10.6 centimetres (4.2 in) SL. This species is the only known member of its genus.[1] The bigeye snailfish is usually found around sand, pebbles, and rocky bottoms. Temnocora candida is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van de slakdolven (Liparidae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1912 door Gilbert & Burke.
