These snails are predatory and venomous. They are capable of "stinging" humans.
The size of the shell varies between 16 mm and 27 mm.

Conus flamingo is een in zee levende slakkensoort uit het geslacht Conus. De slak behoort tot de familie Conidae. Conus flamingo werd in 1980 beschreven door Petuch.[1] Net zoals alle soorten binnen het geslacht Conus zijn deze slakken roofzuchtig en giftig. Zij bezitten een harpoenachtige structuur waarmee ze hun prooi kunnen steken en verlammen.[2]
