Conus albellus Röckel & Korn 1990

Conus albellus, common name snowy cone snail, is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Conidae, the cone snails, cone shells or cones.^[1][2][3]

• Taxonomy: Conus albellus is part of a species complex including C. limpusi, C. lizardensis and C. colmani, that needs re-evaluation. For conservation implications, all are here tentatively listed as distinct.

Distribution

This marine species is endemic to Australia and occurs off Queensland.

Conus albellus is een in zee levende slakkensoort uit het geslacht Conus. De slak behoort tot de familie Conidae. Conus albellus werd in 1990 beschreven door Röckel & Korn.^[1] Net zoals alle soorten binnen het Conusgeslacht zijn deze slakken roofzuchtig en giftig. Ze zijn in staat om mensen te steken en moeten daarom zorgvuldig worden behandeld.^[2]

Conus albellus é uma espécie de gastrópode do gênero Conus, pertencente à família Conidae.^[1]
