Length 2 lines.-Obscure fusco-ferruginous, the antenna? and legs rather paler than the head and thorax: abdomen very dark, nearly black. The head and the mesothorax smooth and shining, the metathorax with a few delicate striae at its base, its apex armed on each side with a stout acute spine; a deep strangulation between the meso- and metathorax. The first node of the peduncle, viewed in front, is broad and rounded at the base, narrowed upwards, its apex obtuse; the second node subglobose, with a deep longitudinal impression above; a few pale hairs scattered over the abdomen; the head, thorax, and base of the abdomen, pale rufo-testaceous beneath.

A mutilated specimen of a female was received with the worker: it is of much paler colour, but is equally smooth and shining, the thorax and abdomen being elongate-ovate; the wings yellowish and subhyaline, with the nervures pale rufo-testaceous.
