Aname aragog Harvey, Framenau, Wojcieszek, Rix & Harvey 2012

Aname aragog is a species of trapdoor spider in the family Anamidae. It is found in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The specific epithet is in reference to the spider Aragog in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books.^[1]

Aname aragog est une espèce d'araignées mygalomorphes de la famille des Anamidae^[1].

Distribution

Cette espèce est endémique du Pilbara en Australie-Occidentale^[1],[2]. Elle se rencontre vers Newman.

Description

La carapace du mâle holotype mesure 8,9 mm de long sur 6,7 mm et l'abdomen 10,0 mm de long sur 5,9 mm^[2].

Étymologie

Son nom d'espèce lui a été donné en référence à Aragog.
