Rhodanthe, also known as sunray^[3] or pink paper daisy, is a genus of Australian plants in the tribe Gnaphalieae within the family Asteraceae.^[4][5]

The name Rhodanthe is derived from Greek rhodon, rose and anthos, flower.

Many Rhodanthe species were formerly classed under different genera, including Helipterum, Podotheca, Acroclinium and Waitzia.

Rhodanthe es un género de plantas perteneciente a la familia Asteraceae. Comprende 51 especies descritas y de estas, solo 46 aceptadas.^[1]​^[2]​

Taxonomía

El género fue descrito por John Lindley y publicado en Edwards's Botanical Register 1703. 1834.^[3]​

Etimología

El nombre Rhodanthe deriva del griego rhodon, rosa y anthos, flor.

Ulkonäkö ja koko

Ikikukat ovat korkeudeltaan 20–40 cm. Kukkien värejä ovat valkoinen, keltainen, vaaleanpunainen ja punainen.

Levinneisyys

Ikikukkia esiintyy luonnonvaraisina Etelä-Afrikassa ja Australiassa.

Elinympäristö

Kasvi viihtyy kosteahkossa maassa aurinkoisella kasvupaikalla.

Käyttö

Kelta-, ruso- ja herttaikikukkaa käytetään yksivutisina kesäkukkina. Niitä käytetään myös leikkokukkina ja kuivakukkina.^[1] Siemenet voidaan kylvää suoraan avomaalle, mutta taimet voidaan myös esikasvattaa huhtikuun loppupuolella.

Rhodanthe est un genre de la famille des Asteraceae.

Ce genre décrit, par John Lindley en 1834, fut longtemps considéré comme un synonyme probable du genre Helipterum. Ce n'est qu'en 1992 que Paul Graham Wilson le réhabilite.

オーストラリアと南アフリカに100種ほど分布している。

主な栽培種[編集]

ローダンセとして栽培されているのは、ヒロハノハナカンザシ Rhodanthe manglesii で、草丈50cmくらい。よく分枝し、茎は細いが堅い。葉は卵形で白い粉が吹いている。花はピンク。ドライフラワーに使われる。

また、白い花をつけるハナカンザシも園芸品種として知られている。
