Copelatus javanus is a species of diving beetle. It is part of the genus Copelatus in the subfamily Copelatinae of the family Dytiscidae. It was described by Régimbart in 1883.^[1]

Copelatus javanus is een keversoort uit de familie waterroofkevers (Dytiscidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1883 door Régimbart.^[1]
