Uredinia amphigenous, numerous, scattered, roundish or oblong, 0.2-1 mm. across, rather early naked, pulverulent, pulvinate, light cinnamon -brown, ruptured epidermis conspicuous ; urediniospores broadly ellipsoid or globoid, 16-18 by 18-23 /z ; wall light goldenbrown, rather thin, 1-1.5/*, finely and inconspicuously echinulate, the pores 4, equatorial.
Telia amphigenous, not readily distinguishable from the uredinia, roundish, 0.2-0.5 mm. across, rather tardily naked, pulverulent, pulvinate, cinnamon-brown, ruptured epidermis noticeable; teliospores broadly ellipsoid, 15-18 by 18-21 ju, wall goldenbrown, about 1.5 ju thick, with a semi-hyaline cap above making the apex 2-3 )Lt thick, finely and closely verrucose ; pedicel colorless, rather stout, about one-half the length of the spore.
