Cymothoe eris is a butterfly in the family Nymphalidae. It is found in the Republic of the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.^[3]

Cymothoe eris is een vlinder uit de onderfamilie Limenitidinae van de familie Nymphalidae.^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1896 door Per Olof Christopher Aurivillius.
