Phyllonorycter is a genus of moths in the family Gracillariidae.
The genus comprises about 400 species, with a worldwide distribution. The vast majority of species are found in the temperate regions, with about 257 species described from the Palaearctic region and 81 from the Nearctic. In the tropics, the genus is species-poor, with 36 species described from Indo-Australia, 13 from the Neotropics and 22 from the Afrotropical region.[1] In 2012, a further 27 species were described from the Afrotropics.[2]

Phyllonorycter (лат.) — род чешуекрылых из семейства молей-пестрянок (Gracillariidae), насчитывающий около 400 видов.
Вершина передних крыльев с темным пятном. Достоверное определение многих видов возможно только по признакам строения гениталий самцов. Вальвы треугольные или трапециевидные, в остновании иногда слиты. Длина эдеагуса равна длине вальв[2]. Гусеницы минируют листья древесных и травянистых растений 112 родов из 31 семейств[3].. Мины располагаются, как правило на нижней стороне листа. Лист при этом деформируется. Реже мины формируются на верхней стороне листа. Гусеницы окукливаются в мине[2].
Некоторые виды имеют важное хозяйственное значение как вредители в лесах и зелёных насаждений городов. Наиболее подробно изучена биология липовой моли пестрянки Phyllonorycter issikii[4] и тополевой моли (Phyllonorycter populifoliella)[5].
Род встречается во всех биогеографических областях. В мировой фауне известно 401 вид, из них в Палеарктике встречается 257 видов[6].
