Eburneana is a genus of the spider family Salticidae (jumping spiders).
Like several other salticids, this genus mimicks ants.
Eburneana are rather big ant-like spiders with a constricted cephalothorax. They are 8 to 12 mm (0.31 to 0.47 in) long. The body is very flat and rather slender. The cephalic and thoracic parts are parted by a clear constriction to mimic the ant body plan. Unlike other African ant-like salticids Eburneana has the chelicerae located more posteriorly, rich leg spination and clearly visible large spigots on the posterior spinnerets.
The structure of genitalia and the shape of the first legs resembles males of the subfamily Pelleninae, but the phylogenetic relationships of Eburneana to other genera are unclear.
The genus is named after the Latin name of Ivory Coast, Litus Eburneum, where one of the species was first found.

Eburneana Wesolowska & Szűts, 2001 è un genere di ragni appartenente alla famiglia Salticidae.
Il nome deriva dal Litus eburneum, nome latino della Costa d'Avorio, luogo di ritrovamento di una delle specie.
Sono ragni piuttosto grandi, da 8 a 12 millimetri di lunghezza, con un cefalotorace piuttosto ristretto, ad imitare quello delle formiche. In esso, infatti, la pars cephalica e la pars thoracica sono appiattite e sottili proprio per imitare l'aspetto esteriore delle formiche.
A differenza dei Myrmarachninae, questo genere ha i cheliceri situati posteriormente. Le zampe sono piene di tricobotri e, nelle filiere posteriori sono ben visibili i fusuli[1].
Mentre l'aspetto esteriore porta a classificarli nei Myrmarachninae, la struttura dei genitali e delle zampe è molto simile ai Pelleninae: ciò per il momento avvalora lo status di incertae sedis per questo genere[1].
Le tre specie oggi note di questo genere sono state rinvenute in Africa centrale, precisamente in Costa d'Avorio, Camerun e Tanzania[2].
