Das Kordillerentäubchen (Metriopelia melanoptera), auch Schwarzschwingentäubchen oder Weißbugtäubchen genannt, ist eine Art der Taubenvögel und wird zur Unterfamilie der Amerikanischen Kleintauben gerechnet. Es kommt ausschließlich in Südamerika vor und ist dort ein Bewohner des Hochlands. Der Bestand gilt als ungefährdet.
Das Kordillerentäubchen erreicht eine Körperlänge von 22 Zentimetern[1] und ist damit wesentlich kleiner als eine Lachtaube. Der Körperbau ist kompakt. Der Geschlechtsdimorphismus ist nur gering ausgeprägt; bei den Weibchen ist der Rosa-Ton an Brust und Bauch nicht so ausgeprägt wie beim Männchen.
Kordillerentäubchen haben ein überwiegend hell rotbraunes Gefieder, das partiell rosa überhaucht ist. Die Kehle ist hellgrau und nur unscharf vom übrigen Gefieder abgegrenzt. Die Brust ist hell bräunlichrosa. Die Flanken gehen in einen leichten Grauton über. Der Bauch ist verglichen mit der Brust heller gefärbt. Die Unterschwanzdecken sind schwarz. Die äußeren Flügeldecken sind hellgrau. Auffallend ist der weiße Schulterfleck. Der Schnabel läuft spitz zu und ist dunkel. Die Iris ist innen grünlich bis bräunlich und außen rötlich.
Das Verbreitungsgebiet des Kordillerentäubchens erstreckt sich von Peru über Bolivien bis in den Norden Chiles. Die Art kommt außerdem im Westen Argentiniens, in Ecuador und in Kolumbien vor.[2] Im Süden Kolumbiens ist die Art stellenweise häufig, in anderen Teilen des Verbreitungsgebietes ist sie hingegen vergleichsweise selten. Sie ist häufig im Gebirge anzutreffen und besiedelt im Westen Boliviens Höhenlagen zwischen 2.000 und 4.800 Meter über NN.[3]
Das Kordillerentäubchen bewohnt ebenso wie mehrere weitere Arten der Gattung Metriopelia aride und semiaride Habitate. Zu den präferierten Lebensräumen zählen steinige Hänge mit Strauchvegetation. Es ist häufig auf offenem Grasland sowie Kulturflächen anzutreffen, auch menschliche Siedlungsräume werden besiedelt. Das Kordillerentäubchen ist ein Standvogel, das aber täglich signifikante Höhenwanderungen unternimmt, um von den Ruheplätzen zu den Nahrungsgründen zu gelangen. Es ist eine überwiegend bodenbewohnende Art und auf Grund der Gefiederfärbung mitunter nur schwer auszumachen. Während der Nahrungsaufnahme ist das Kordillerentäubchen gelegentlich mit Brillentäubchen vergesellschaftet.
Die Fortpflanzungszeit variiert abhängig vom Verbreitungsgebiet. In Peru brütet die Art beispielsweise im Zeitraum März bis Mai, in Argentinien und Chile dagegen von November bis April. Das Nest wird gewöhnlich in einer Höhe von drei Metern über dem Erdboden errichtet, es sind allerdings auch schon Bodennester gefunden worden.[4] Das Gelege besteht aus zwei Eiern, die Brutzeit beträgt 14 Tage.
Es werden zwei Unterarten unterschieden.[5]
Das Kordillerentäubchen wird nur selten gehalten. Die ersten Kordillerentäubchen kamen erst 1981 nach Deutschland. Verglichen mit anderen Arten der Gattung Metriopelia gilt diese hochlandbewohnende Taubenart als nicht sehr kälteempfindlich. Allerdings setzt ihr nasskaltes Wetter zu, so dass ihr in der Volierenhaltung ein trockener Innenraum zur Verfügung stehen muss.[6]

The nominate adult male is grayish brown or earth brown above with a faint pink tinge. The throat is whitish and the underparts fawn pink with gray flanks. The closed wing shows a white edge and some pale gray. The eye color is highly variable as is the bare skin that surrounds it. The adult female's upperparts are a duller brown than the male's and the underparts less pink. Juveniles do not have the adults' pink tinge, and many feathers have buff edges. M. m. saturatior differs from the nominate by being darker and grayer above and less pink below.[3]
The nominate subspecies of black-winged ground dove is a year round resident from central Peru and adjacent Bolivia south through most of Chile and western Argentina. It breeds but does not winter on Tierra del Fuego. M. m. saturatior is found in the Andes of southwestern Colombia south to Ecuador's Azuay Province.[3]
The black-winged ground dove inhabits páramo in Colombia and Ecuador and puna in Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina. It is typically found in grassy areas near treeline but roosts in Polylepis woodland and Puya stands. In much of its range it occurs between 2,000 and 4,400 m (6,600 and 14,400 ft) but from 900 to 4,900 m (3,000 to 16,100 ft) in Chile. It moves to the lower elevations in winter.[3]
The black-winged ground dove feeds on the ground in small flocks. Its primary food appears to be grass seeds but details are lacking.[3]
The black-winged ground dove's breeding season varies with latitude. In Colombia and Ecuador, eggs have been found between August and October. In the south the season continues past October to February. Its nest is a fragile platform of sticks, usually in bushes, bromeliads, or cacti but sometimes on the ground. The clutch size is two.[3]

La Colombe à ailes noires (Metriopelia melanoptera) est une espèce d'oiseau de la famille des Columbidae.
Cet oiseau mesure 21 à 23 cm de longueur pour une masse de 110 à 125 g.
Les parties supérieures sont brun grisâtre avec une faible surfusion rose. La gorge est blanchâtre tandis que les épaules et la bordure des ailes sont blanches. Le dessous du corps est rose fauve (un peu moins rose chez la femelle que chez le mâle), plus clair sur le ventre et devenant gris sur les flancs. Le dessous de la queue est noir. Les iris sont bleu violet avec des cercles oculaires rose saumon, orangé ou jaune. Le bec est noir et les pattes noirâtres.
Cet oiseau vit le long de la côte occidentale de l'Amérique du Sud en Argentine, Bolivie, au Chili, en Colombie, Équateur et au Pérou.
Son habitat naturel est très varié puisque constitué par les régions humides subtropicales ou tropicales de haute altitude (entre 2 000 et 4 000 m dans les Andes), les zones de broussailles arides et semi-arides subtropicales ou tropicales de montagne mais aussi les plaines et occasionnellement les parcs et les villages. Au Chili, elle se rencontre du niveau de la mer jusqu'à 4 900 m d'altitude.
Cet oiseau se nourrit au sol le plus souvent en petits groupes.
