Gephyromantis granulatus est une espèce d'amphibiens de la famille des Mantellidae[1].
Cette espèce est endémique de Madagascar. Elle se rencontre du niveau de la mer jusqu'à 900 m d'altitude dans le nord de l'île ainsi que sur l'île de Nosy Be[1],[2].
Gephyromantis granulatus mesure de 40 à 45 mm, les femelles étant un peu plus grandes que les mâles. Son dos varie du brun clair au gris foncé avec souvent des taches sombres. Parfois une marque sombre dessinant un "W" est présente sur le dos et une bande sombre sépare les yeux. Son ventre est blanc grisâtre avec des taches sombres. Les membres présentent des bandes sombres. Sa lèvre supérieure est souvent bordée de blanc. Sa peau est légèrement granuleuse. Les mâles ont une paire de sacs vocaux de couleur sombre.

Gephyromantis granulatus is een kikker uit de familie gouden kikkers (Mantellidae). De soort werd voor het eerst wetenschappelijk beschreven door Oskar Boettger in 1881. De soort behoort tot het geslacht Gephyromantis.[2]
De kikker is endemisch in Madagaskar.[3] De soort komt voor in het noorden van het eiland en leeft op een hoogte tot de 900 meter. De soort leeft ook op het eiland Nosy Be.
De soort heeft een lengte van 40 tot 45 millimeter en de vrouwtjes zijn iets groter dan de mannetjes. De rug varieert van lichtbruin tot grijs met donkere vlekjes. De buik is wit tot grijs met ook donkere vlekjes. De soortaanduiding granulatus betekent vrij vertaald 'korrelig' en slaat op de ruwe structuur van de huid.

Zwierzę nie posiada specjalnych wymagań, jeśli chodzi o rodzaj lasów, w których żyje. Zamieszkuje tak pierwotne, jak i wtórne lasy deszczowe[1]. Nie lubi natomiast terenów otwartych[1].
Nie ustalono dotychczas, w jaki sposób płaz ten wydaje na świat następne pokolenia[1]. W grę wchodzi spotykany u większości przedstawicieli gromady Amphibia rozwój larwalny z obecnością kijanek, ale także rozwój bezpośredni, niezależny od zbiorników wodnych, obserwowany w obrębie rodzaju Gephyromantis.
Gatunek uznaje się za lokalnie bardzo liczny[1]. Jego całkowita liczebność nie wykazuje większych zmian, utrzymując się na stałym poziomie[1].
Sądzi się, że z powodu swych znakomitych zdolności adaptacyjnych płaz ten nie jest zagrożony wyginięciem[1].
