The Green Anole has quite a few defense mechanisms. 1) It has the ability to change color. It can be green, yellow, brown, gray, or a mixture, which can help it blend in to its surroundings. 2) It has special pads on its feet that allows it to escape on nearly any surface. 3) The best for last, if it gets caught it has a tail that will fall off which distracts the predator while it escapes.
