Careproctus furcellus és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels lipàrids.[4]
Descripció
- Fa 54 cm de llargària màxima.[5][6]
Depredadors
És depredat per l'halibut negre (Reinhardtius hippoglossoides).[7][8]
Hàbitat
És un peix marí i batidemersal que viu entre 98 i 1.270 m de fondària.[5][9]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba davant les costes de Kushiro (el Japó) i des del mar d'Okhotsk fins al mar de Bering.[5][10][11][12][13][14][15]
Observacions
És inofensiu per als humans.[5]
