Descripció

Depredadors

És depredat per l'halibut negre (Reinhardtius hippoglossoides).^[7][8]

Hàbitat

És un peix marí i batidemersal que viu entre 98 i 1.270 m de fondària.^[5][9]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba davant les costes de Kushiro (el Japó) i des del mar d'Okhotsk fins al mar de Bering.^{[5][10][11][12][13][14][15]}

Observacions

És inofensiu per als humans.^[5]

Careproctus furcellus es un pez de la familia Liparidae.^[1]​ Fue descripto por Charles Henry Gilbert y Charles Victor Burke en 1912.^[2]​

Esta especie marina puede crecer hasta 54 centímetros de longitud. Es depredado por el halibut negro de Groenlandia Reinhardtius hippoglossoides.^[3]​ Vive entre los 98 y 1270 metros de profundidad; se encuentra frente a las costas de Kushiro, en Japón, también en el mar de Ojotsk y mar de Bering.^[4]​

Careproctus furcellus es batidemersal e inofensivo para el ser humano.^[4]​

Careproctus furcellus is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van snotolven (Cyclopteridae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1912 door Gilbert & Burke.

黑鰭短吻獅子鱼，为輻鰭魚綱鮋形目杜父魚亞目狮子鱼科的其中一種。分布於北太平洋區，包括日本、鄂霍次克海、白令海等海域。

特徵

本魚體延長，尾鰭略凹入，體色為暗粉紅色，魚鰭及鰭膜黑色，腹部灰白色，鰓裂在整個胸鰭上方，背鰭軟條61至65枚；臀鰭軟條54至59枚，體長可達54公分。

生態

本魚為深海魚類，棲息在水深98至1270公尺的水域，生活習性不明。

經濟利用

可作為食用魚。
