Ralachtign (Rallidae) vormn e familie van veugels uut de orde kroanveugelachtign (Gruiformes).

Ralachtign zyn klêene toet middelgrôte veugels tusschn 12 en 63 cm grôot en ze leevn zowel ip land of ip 't woater. Ze zyn mêestal bruun, grysde of zwart van kleur. Sommigte sôortn hèn e vorhoofdploate boovn under bek, rôod by 't woaterhoentje en wit by de meerkoet.
