Gobionellus is a genus of gobies native to fresh, marine and brackish waters along the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of the Americas.

Gobionellus is een geslacht van straalvinnige vissen uit de familie van grondels (Gobiidae).^[1] Het geslacht is voor het eerst wetenschappelijk beschreven in 1858 door Girard.
