Harpendyreus major is a butterfly in the family Lycaenidae. It is found in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (from the south-eastern part of the country to Tanganyika), Rwanda, Burundi, southern Tanzania and northern Zambia.[2]

Harpendyreus major is een vlinder uit de familie van de Lycaenidae.[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1924 door Joicey & Talbot.
