Der Anderson-Spitzmausmaulwurf (Uropsilus andersoni) ist eine Säugetierart aus der Gattung der Spitzmausmaulwürfe (Uropsilus) innerhalb der Insektenfresser (Eulipotyphla). Die wenig bekannte Art wurde bislang nur am Emei Shan in der chinesischen Provinz Sichuan gefunden.
Der Anderson-Spitzmausmaulwurf erreicht eine Kopf-Rumpf-Länge von 6,5 bis 8,3 Zentimeter und eine Schwanzlänge von 5,9 bis 7,2 Zentimeter. Die Hinterfußlänge beträgt 14 bis 17,5 Millimeter.[1] Das Rückenfell ist dunkelbraun gefärbt, die Färbung ist dunkler als die der anderen Arten der Gattung.[1]
Der Schädel erreicht eine Länge von 21 bis 22 Millimeter. Die Tiere besitzen im Oberkiefer pro Hälfte zwei Schneidezähne (Incisivi), einen Eckzahn, vier Prämolare und drei Molare. Die Zähne im Unterkiefer entsprechen denen im Oberkiefer, allerdings haben sie dort nur drei Prämolare. Insgesamt verfügen die Tiere damit über ein Gebiss aus 38 Zähnen. Die arttypische Zahnformel stellt das Hauptunterscheidungsmerkmal von den anderen Arten der Gattung dar.[1]
Der Anderson-Spitzmausmaulwurf ist endemisch in der Provinz Sichuan in der Volksrepublik China und wurde bislang nur am Emei Shan und in dessen näherer Umgebung gefunden.[1] Er kommt dort teilweise sympatrisch mit dem Chinesischen Spitzmausmaulwurf (Uropsilus gracilis) und dem Sichuan-Spitzmausmaulwurf (Uropsilus soricipes) vor.[1]
Über die Lebensweise des Anderson-Spitzmausmaulwurfs liegen keine Angaben vor, wie die anderen Arten der Gattung lebt er am Boden und sucht dort nach kleinen Wirbellosen als Nahrung.[1]
Der Anderson-Spitzmausmaulwurf wird als eigenständige Art innerhalb der Spitzmausmaulwürfe (Gattung Uropsilus) eingeordnet, die aus vier Arten besteht und den Maulwürfen zugeordnet wird.[2] Die wissenschaftliche Erstbeschreibung erfolgte durch Oldfield Thomas im Jahr 1911, der die Art anhand von Individuen vom Emei Shan in Sichuan, Volksrepublik China, beschrieb.[2] Teilweise wurde die Art dem Sichuan-Spitzmausmaulwurf (Uropsilus soricipes) zugeordnet, teilweise auch in eine eigene, monotypische Gattung Rhynchonax eingegliedert.[2] Benannt wurde die Art nach dem Forschungsreisenden und Tiersammler Malcolm Playfair Anderson, der sie auf einer Sammlungsreise im Auftrag der Zoological Society of London gesammelt und Thomas zur Verfügung gestellt hatte.[3]
Innerhalb der Art werden keine Unterarten unterschieden.[2]
Die Art wird von der International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) keiner Gefährdungsstufe zugeordnet, sondern aufgrund fehlender Daten als „data deficient“ gelistet. Es gibt keine Daten zu den Bestandszahlen, eine Gefährdung ist nicht bekannt.[4]

Sprawiło to, że w Czerwonej księdze gatunków zagrożonych (publikowanej przez Międzynarodowa Unię Ochrony Przyrody) został on zakwalifikowany do kategorii Data Deficient, oznaczającej niewystarczającą ilość danych, by przyporządkować gatunek do innej kategorii[2].
