Back flank and nape brown-red; ventral brown orange. Anal and ventral fin light with brown margin. Black blotch on opercle slightly lower than eye. Orange eye with dark pupil (Ref. 37421).

Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205).
