Heteronema acutissimum Lemmermann, 1910. Cells narrow spindle shaped, with sharp ends, approx. 17 microns long, 2.5-3 microns wide. Surface smooth. Anterior flagellum about cell length and posterior flagellum 1.5-2 times cell length.
