Description: English: A single valve of the Veneridae seashell Anomalocardia flexuosa (Linnaeus, 1767), the West Indian pointed Venus; during the 20th century called Anomalocardia brasiliana (Gmelin, 1791)[1]; an edible species in Brazil. Specimen collected in the beach of Atalaia Velha, Aracaju, Sergipe, northeast Brazil (October 10, 1989). It's called berbigão, cernambi, maçunim, papa-fumo, pedrinha, samanguaiá, sarro-de-peito, sarro-de-pito, simongoiá and vôngoli. BOFFI, Alexandre Valente (1979).
