Acaulescent, glabrous. Leaves about 20, forming a dense rosette, flat but thickish, oblanceolate-spatulate, 5 cm. long, pale glaucous -green tinged with red ; flowering branches 1.5 dm. long, 6-1 2 -flowered ; sepals subequal ; corolla bright-red, 5-angled, 12 mm. long.
Type locality : Mexico.
Distribution : Known only from garden specimens.

Short-caulescent, usually crowned by a simple rosette of leaves. Basal leaves lanceolate, acuminate, deeply concave on the face; flowering stem 2 dm. long, bright-green, 5-7 cm. long, leafy to the base; stem-leaves semiterete, acute, 3-5 cm. long; inflorescence 2-branched, each branch a secund raceme, 8-12 cm. long; pedicels almost wanting; sepals spreading at right angles to the corolla, very unequal; corolla 10-12 mm. long, bright-red above, paler below.
Type locality: Near Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo. Distribution: Known only from the type locality.

Echeveria carnicolor ist eine Pflanzenart aus der Gattung der Echeverien (Echeveria) in der Familie der Dickblattgewächse (Crassulaceae).
Beschreibung
Echeveria carnicolor bildet verzweigte Triebe mit einer Länge von bis zu 6 Zentimeter und einem Durchmesser von 1 bis 1,5 Zentimeter aus. Die einzelnen Blattrosetten werden 7 bis 10 Zentimeter im Durchmesser groß. Die länglich verkehrt lanzettlichen und stumpf bis fast zugespitzten Blätter werden bis 4 bis 7 Zentimeter lang und 1 bis 1,5 Zentimeter breit. Sie sind 5 bis 6 Millimeter dick, dicht papillös, glitzernd und gräulichgrün oder purpurgrün gefärbt.
Der gleichmäßig rispig verzweigte und oft basal verzweigte Blütenstand wird bis 15 Zentimeter lang. Die Brakteen sind leicht abtrennbar und bilden Wurzeln. Der Blütenstiel wird bis 8 Millimeter lang. Die breit ausgebreiteten Kelchblätter werden bis 6 Millimeter lang. Die deutlich 5-kantige Blütenkrone wird bis 10 Millimeter lang und 6 Millimeter im Durchmesser. Sie ist oben lachsorange und unten fleischfarben.
Die Blütezeit ist Januar bis März.[1]
Die Chromosomenzahl beträgt 2n = 36.[2]
Verbreitung und Systematik
Echeveria carnicolor ist in Mexiko im Bundesstaat Veracruz verbreitet.
Die Erstbeschreibung erfolgte 1870 durch John Gilbert Baker als Cotyledon carnicolor.[3] 1874 stellte Charles Jacques Édouard Morren die Art in die Gattung Echeveria.[4] Ein Synonym der Art ist Cotyledon carnicolor Baker.

Description
Echeveria carnicolor have a very flat rosettes with gray-purple and green color. The rosettes have 5 inches (130 mm) diameter wide. The leaves are pointy, long, and thin, with 4 inches (100 mm) long and 1.2 inches (30 mm) wide. The plant can reach 2.4 inches (61 mm) tall. The flowers color are red and orange[2]
