Milesia virginiensis (Yellowjacket Hover Fly) is a species of flies in the family flower flies. They visit flowers of common buttonbush, queen of the meadow, yellow pimpernel, and hairy pagoda-plant. They are diurnal. Individuals can grow to 21 mm.
