Lycopus americanus (American Water Horehound) is a species of perennial herb in the family Lamiaceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Canada and the contiguous United States. American Water Horehound has simple, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Archytas. American Water Horehound is a photoautotroph.
