Plants annual, 30-40 cm tall, glabrous. Stem erect, branched in lower part; branches and branchlets erect and slender. Leaves alternate, subsessile or shortly petiolate; petiole 5-15 mm; leaf blade pale green abaxially, dark green adaxially, ovate-lanceolate, 3-7 × 2.5-3 cm, membranous, glabrous, lateral veins 4-7 pairs, base attenuate into petiole, margin crenulate or serrulate, teeth mucronulate, apex acuminate. Inflorescences in upper leaf axils, 1-3-flowered; peduncles longer than petioles, 0.5-1 cm. Pedicels short, 0.5-1 cm, bracteate at middle or below; bracts persistent, ovate, ca. 2 mm, membranous. Flowers yellowish, 1.5-2 cm deep. Lateral sepals 2, tetragonous, 4-5 mm, 2-5-veined, midvein fine, apex mucronulate. Lower sepal navicular, ca. 1.3 cm deep, narrowed into an incurved spur longer than limb. Upper petal orbicular, ca. 5 mm in diam., hooked at basal margin, abaxial midvein thickened, obtusely rostellate at middle; lateral united petals clawed, ca. 2 cm, 2-lobed; basal lobes orbicular, small, thicker; distal lobes broadly dolabriform, apically retuse; auricle conspicuous. Filaments linear; anthers acute. Ovary erect, fusiform, apex acuminate. Capsule (immature) linear, 1-1.2 cm. Fl. Sep.
