Impatiens (Jewelweeds) is a genus of shrub in the family Balsaminaceae. They are native to Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Alaska, Canada, North America, and The Contiguous United States. They have loculicidal capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Eastern Yellowjacket, Papilio polyxenes asterius, and Common Eastern Bumblebee. Individuals can grow to 5.3 m.
