Anamorph. Not known. Ascomata. Immersed, vertical, single, ostiolate, brown to dark brown, with colourless neck, 160-170 μm high, 160-190 μm diam., developing under a thin darkened superficial peudostroma, covering the area where ascomata develop and composed of substratum cells with darkened fungal hyphae; contents apricot coloured in mass; neck up to 50 μm long and 60 μm diam.; ostiolar canal filled with periphyses; peridium 14-20 μm, comprising elongated yellow-brown to brown cells forming a textura angularis. Asci. Oblong, thin walled, short pedicellate, apically thickened, 80-96 × 10-13 μm, (av = 87 × 11.8 μm, n = 20), 8-spored. Ascospores. Clavate, biseriate, colourless, 3-septate, weakly constricted at the septa, 25-28 × 5-6 μm (av = 25.6 × 5.7 μm, n = 40). Paraphyses. Numerous, colourless, in a gel and mostly unbranched.
