Jacobaea aquatica (Hill) Gaertn. Mey. & Scherb.

Planhigyn blodeuol o deulu llygad y dydd a blodyn haul ydy Creulys y gors sy'n enw benywaidd. Mae'n perthyn i'r teulu Asteraceae. Yr enw gwyddonol (Lladin) yw Senecio aquaticus a'r enw Saesneg yw Marsh ragwort.^[1] Ceir enwau Cymraeg eraill ar y planhigyn hwn gan gynnwys Creulys y Gors, Carnedd y Gors, Greulys y Gors, Penfelen y Gors.

Daw'r gair "Asteraceae", sef yr enw ar y teulu hwn, o'r gair 'Aster', y genws mwyaf lluosog o'r teulu - ac sy'n tarddu o'r gair Groeg ἀστήρ, sef 'seren'.

Vandbrandbæger (Senecio aquaticus), ofte skrevet vand-brandbæger, er en toårig plante i kurvblomst-familien. Den ligner engbrandbæger, men grundbladene er ovale og næsten hele. Arten er giftig.

Beskrivelse

Vandbrandbæger er en 30-50 centimeter høj urt med rødbrun stængel, der er udspærret grenet. I forhold til engbrandbæger er kurvene større (2,5-3 centimeter brede) og de sidder i en mere åbenblomstret halvskærm. Desuden er de nederste blade næsten hele, ovale, groft tandede og stilkede, mens de øvre er lyreformede.

Udbredelse

Arten er hjemmehørende i Europa.

I Danmark er vandbrandbæger almindelig i Vest- og Sydvestjylland på høje enge, ved åer og søbredder, mens den findes hist og her i resten af landet. Blomstringen sker i juli til september.^[1]

Jacobaea aquatica or Senecio aquaticus, the water ragwort^[1] or marsh ragwort,^[2] is a plant of the family Asteraceae. It is a perennial or biennial plant: young plants form a rosette near the ground, eventually producing a taller flowering shoot with many bright yellow flower heads, each with prominent ray florets. It grows in damp, grazed grassland, especially where there has been some disturbance.

Biogeography

Jacobaea aquatica is endemic to Europe. It may be found throughout the continent, except Finland and Eastern Europe. There are small populations in the European part of Turkey and on Svalbard.

Jacobaea aquatica es una planta de la familia de las asteráceas, originaria de España.

Descripción

Es una planta anual, frecuentemente bianual que alcanza un tamaño de 120 cm de altura. Las hojas basales y las caulinares interiores no están divididas, las superiores on bipinnadas. Las flores de color amarillo en capítulos que forman corimbos. El fruto es un aquenio.^[1]​

Taxonomía

Jacobaea aquatica fue descrita por G.Gaertn., B.Mey. & Scherb. y publicado en Oekonomisch-Technische Flora der Wetterau 3(1): 210. 1801.^[2]​

Etimología

Jacobaea: nombre genérico que podría provenir de dos fuentes posibles: (1) de St. James (Jacob o Jacobo), uno de los 12 apóstoles; o (2) en referencia a la isla de Santiago (Cabo Verde).^[4]​ El nombre científico aceptado actualmente ( Jacobaea ) fue propuesta por el botánico escocés Philip Miller (1691-1771) en la publicación ”The Gardeners dictionary, containing the methods of cultivating and improving the kitchen, fruit and flower garden, as also the physick garden, wilderness, conservatory and vineyard” (Cuarta edición, Londres) nel 1754.^[5]​

Udu-ristirohi (Senecio aquaticus) on korvõieliste sugukonda ristirohu perekonda kuuluv taimeliik. Mitmetes andmebaasides on loetud voolmerohu perekonda kuuluvaks (Jacobaea aquatica).

Udu-ristirohi meenutab väga voolme-ristirohtu, ent sellest erinevalt on juurmised lehed vähem lõhestunud, suurema tipmise hõlmaga. Kindlamaks eristamiseks tuleb vaadata seemniseid – voolme-ristirohul on putkõitest arenenud seemned tihedalt karvased, udu-ristirohul aga peaaegu paljad.

Udu-ristirohi on looduslikult levinud Euroopas, peetakse Euroopa endeemiks. Eestis on leitud korduvalt herbaareksemplaride määramisel. Nüüdisaegseid leide pole teada.^[1]
