Our rare annual snow storm have come! Jerusalem is white from snow and flowers that are not used to this situatuin burst. This one is the sub-endemic Iris palaestina. WE have saved it from a building site several years ago and since than it is blooming in out botanical gardens.
just today saw these bautiful bulbs on the highway near the town of Midi'in in central Israel. Iris palaestina is rather common in Israel, it is found also in S Lebanon.
