Südasiatische Blindschlangen (Indotyphlops) sind eine Schlangengattung aus der Familie der Blindschlangen (Typhlopidae).
Die Südasiatischen Blindschlangen sind eierlegend (ovipar) und bis zu einige Dezimeter lang. Die Art Indotyphlops braminus pflanzt sich als einzige bekannte Schlangenart (möglicherweise jedoch auch die Arafura-Warzenschlange) durch Jungfernzeugung (Parthenogenese) fort.[1] Die Blindschlangen leben in der Regel unterirdisch. Ihre Hauptnahrungsquelle sind Insekten.
Das Hauptverbreitungsgebiet der Gattung ist Südasien, insbesondere Indien. Die Art Indotyphlops braminus ist am weitesten verbreitet. Sie kommt in Süd-Europa, Afrika, Asien, Mittel- bis Nord-Amerika, Australien und Ozeanien vor. Die IUCN stuft die Art Indotyphlops lazelli als vom Aussterben bedroht („Critically Endangered“) ein und Indotyphlops schmutzi als stark gefährdet („Endangered“).[2]
Die Gattung wurde 2014 von Stephen Blair Hedges, Angela B. Marion, Kelly M. Lipp, Julie Marin und Nicolas Vidal erstbeschrieben. Ihr werden 22 Arten zugeordnet (Stand Juni 2021), die im Folgenden nach Taxon sortiert gelistet sind.

Indotyphlops dicirikan oleh susunan sisik-sisik supralabial (bibir atas) bertipe T-III, yakni perisai supralabial ketiga bertumpang tindih dengan perisai okular atau subokular, atau tipe T-V (perisai supralabial kedua dan ketiga bertumpang tindih dengan perisai-perisai di atasnya), dan kombinasi karakter-karakter berikut:[2]
Warna di sisi dorsal (punggung) cokelat terang hingga hitam, berubah berangsur-angsur ke warna yang lebih terang di sisi ventral (perut). Sekitar bibir, dagu, kloaka, dan atau ujung ekor berwarna putih (atau tak berpigmen, kemerah jambuan, atau kekuningan; beberapa spesies dengan kepala berwarna terang).[2]
Marga ini menyebar mulai dari anak benua India (India, Pakistan, Srilangka), sebagian Asia Tenggara, dan Indonesia. Satu spesiesnya, Indotyphlops braminus, memiliki agihan kosmopolitan; sebagian adalah karena sifatnya yang partenogenesis, yang memungkinkan setiap individu tunggal membentuk koloni baru, dan karena kebiasaan hidupnya (menghuni pot atau tanah-tanah di sekitar tanaman) sehingga kerap terangkut oleh manusia yang berpindah tempat, bahkan hingga menyeberang lautan. Spekulasi mengenai asal-usulnya dari India selatan atau Srilangka didukung oleh informasi mengenai kekerabatannya yang erat dengan taksa dari kedua tempat itu.[2]
