Bothrops chloromelas,[2] the coastal lancehead or Inca forest pit viper, is a venomous species of pit viper found in South America.
The species was first described in 1949 by Brazilian herpetologist Alphonse Richard Hoge.[3]
The species is native to montane forest at altitudes of 1,000-2,000 meters above sea level. It appears to prefer primary to secondary forest.[1]

Bothrops chloromelas est une espèce de serpents de la famille des Viperidae[1].
Cette espèce est endémique de la cordillère Centrale au Pérou[1].
L'holotype de Bothrops chloromelas[2] mesure 740 mm dont 110 mm pour la queue. Cette espèce a le dos jaune vert taché de noir. Sa face ventrale est jaune verdâtre moucheté ou tacheté de noir. C'est un serpent venimeux[1].
Son nom d'espèce, du grec ancien χλωρός, khlôros, « vert, d’un jaune verdâtre », et μέλας, mélas, « noir », lui a été donné en référence à sa livrée[2].
