Dipturus tengu (Jordan & Fowler 1903)

Oviparous (Ref. 9908). Distinct pairing with embrace. Young may tend to follow large objects, such as their mother (Ref. 205).

Feeds on invertebrates and bony fish.

Found on sand-mud bottoms (Ref. 41299). Depth range from 80 m-150 m (Ref. 41299). Feeds on invertebrates and bony fish (Ref. 9908, Ref. 114953). Oviparous. Distinct pairing with embrace. Young may tend to follow large objects, such as their mother (Ref. 205). Eggs are oblong capsules with stiff pointed horns at the corners deposited in sandy or muddy flats (Ref. 205). Egg capsules are 8.5-10.0 cm long and 5.5-6.4 cm wide (Ref. 41249 , 41253).

常見於臺灣西南部海域。

由底拖網捕獲，非重要之經濟魚類。

吻非常長且狹窄。體盤寬度約尾長的1.6倍(成熟雄魚)、1.7倍(成熟雌魚)。兩眼眶距離寬且扁平，兩眼眶寬及吻長的比例在成魚時變異較大，其範圍在4.3－5.3倍。眼睛小，兩眼眶距離為眼直徑的1.0－1.8倍(成魚階段)。當成熟時，背部的刺超過體盤中間、體盤邊緣吻的尖端(雌)、眼框內全部的部位(雄)及頭部腹面也有微小的刺分布；眼眶邊緣的刺不規則排列，一般只有一根，但偶爾會有2－4根。體盤背部的中間會有一列刺一直延伸到尾部，數量約為20－40根，而雌魚數目大於雄魚。兩背鰭之間也有刺，其中完全成熟雌魚之特徵為一列大刺分布在尾部，有時在尾部邊緣也會生長尖刺。體盤腹部除了頭不以外其餘皆為平滑。背部顏色成不均勻的棕色或接近灰棕色。(陳柔蓉、林沛立2012/11編寫)

棲息於沙泥底部，捕食無脊椎動物及魚類， 卵生。
