Wang Lang Nature Reserve, Ping Wu County, Sichuan Province, China

All specimens were found in about 10 minutes under stones in this ditch next to a dirt road. Shallow water (less than 10 centimeters deep) flowed in the ditch and drained into a larger stream. See additional habitat photo of larger stream.

More natural habitat of Batrachuperus tibetanus. Small stream in drainage ditch where salamanders were found flow into this stream.

Specimen and liver tissue at MVZ. An addition four specimens were collected. They are deposited with tissues at the Kunming Institute of Zoology, Kunman, Yunnan, People's Republic of China. All specimens were found under stones in a ditch next to a dirt road. Shallow water (less than 10 centimeters deep) flowed in the ditch and drained into a larger stream.
