A perennial, somewhat woody at the base; stem much branched, especially at the base, 3-6 dm. high, canescent with short kinked hairs; leaves 4-8 cm. long, ascending; stipules deltoid, 3-5 mm. long; leaflets 9-23, elliptic or oblong, obtuse, 6-12 mm. long, canescent with short kinked hairs on both sides; peduncles 5-7 cm. long, slender, erect; racemes 3-6 cm. long; bracts lanceolate, 2 mm. long; calyx canescent with kinked hairs, the tube 3 mm. long, the teeth subulate, nearly 2 mm. long; corolla purplish or white, 8-10 mm. long; banner obovate, abruptly arched; wings shorter than the banner, the blade oblanceolate, falcate; keel-petals slightly shorter, strongly arcuate at the obtuse apex; pod ascending, arcuate, 1.5 cm. long, 3 mm. wide and thick, sulcatc on the lower suture, deeply cordate in cross-section.
Type locality: Parras, Coahuila.
Distribution: Coahuila.
