Conidiomata. Pycnidial, solitary or gregarious, 150 μm high, 150-230 μ diam., subglobose to ellipsoidal, immersed, becoming erumpent, ostiolate, short papillate or epapillate, coriaceous, light to dark brown, darkest around the ostiole; peridium composed of an outer layer with thick-walled, dark cells and an inner layer with colourless cells, bearing conidiogenous cells; papillae about 15 μm diam., ostiolar canal about 10 μm diam. Conidiogenous cells. Flask-shaped, colourless, originating along the inner wall of the peridium, similar to the inner cells of the peridium, 5-8 μm long, phialidic, forming conidia in basipetal succession. Conidia. Ellipsoidal to subglobose, (5-) 6- (-10) × 3-4 (-5) μm, aseptate, often biguttulate, colourless, later yellowish.
